my fate is sealed with the click of the 'submit' button...

just submitted the JAE form. 1st choice CJC science... and if i somehow miraculously i don't get CJC science, 2nd choice SAJC, 3rd choice ACJC, 4th choice NJC, all science courses. just filled in those places for fun :p lots of reasons for me to stay in CJ...

1. used to the environment
2. near to sji
3. near to pa
4. lots of friends
5. bro. paul
6. badminton team
7. tough PE

as for the last one i feel that it's good because it prepares me for the army. since my physical standard completely sucks, i would need all the training i can get, and since cjc has the toughest PE of all the JCs, might as well get screwed twice a week over 2 years then everyday for 3 extra months!!! also placing alot of faith in bro. paul that he can do to cjc wat he did to sji a few years back, which is bring them up in rankings. 2 more weeks of school which ends at 1.10 everyday, even earlier than sji, 2 more weeks of 1T20 (well most of them), 2 more weeks of wearing white pants, 2 more weeks to enjoy the luxury of wearing a PE shirt to school everyday, and 3 more weeks to class party. Cheers.

thanks SJI... and a dilemma sets in

it was definitely a worthwhile 4 years in SJI to be able to come out with such results. as i said earlier was expecting a 14, because i expected a C5 for my humanities... but turned out i got a A2 for it, and an A2 for physics, so i got 10. but now i'm bloody stuck. don't know where to go now. at first i had intended to stay in CJ, but now people are telling me different things. because if i minus my CCA points, i'll have 8 points. so people say go to HCJC, go to NJC, go to ACJC, go to AJC, go to SAJC, and there's also the choice of staying in CJC. HOW!?!?!!?? HELP ME!!!!!!!

haiz, talk about overall SJI performance lah, more interesting. MSG for all subjects is 2.2, and mean L1R5 is 11.9, which means we beat the previous batch!!! WAHAHAHAHA sorry glenn and kah wee :) but 4 people failed english, which is bloody saddening. distinction rates increased in every subject, except for history 2158, where the distinction rate cannot increase anymore as it is already at 100 :p as for 409, all of us qualified for JC course, with the highest being 20. congratulations to sachdev who got 9 points, best in class. not bad small chubby boy can do so well.... GOOD JOB MATE! when we heard that we all qualified for JC course we already burst into cheers!!! congrats also to arun, deen and zun chen for getting their good progress awards! for EAGLES awards congrats to xiang xin and clarence too! oh and xiang xin good job on becoming straight... looks like having girls around you saved your life!!! :p

i'm actually still thinking about staying in CJ loh, and i know alot of you are going to scold me for saying that, especially a certain someone whose name starts with an E, but then... i'm already used to the environment, i've gotten into the CJ badminton team (even though i'm not doing that well, but that can be worked on), and i've got friends here already! the scary thing was that my chinese teacher asked who would be staying in CJ, and i raised my hand, then she asked even with 10 points... then i kept quiet. but now... bloody hell, really come true loh!!!

for those who did not get what they wanted, i know you'll are disappointed, and you might feel that you are the stupidest person to ever walk this planet, but it's OKAY!!! life goes on, and there are a still many routes for you to choose from, just think before you choose a route, and don't live to regret going down that road. to all josephians... WE DID IT!!! Cheers.

coming towards the end...

the provisional period of JC life is soon coming to an end. 9 people ponned school today, and i can foresee the figure jumping to about 15 tomorrow. no one's in the mood to go to school anymore, since the ever-anticipated results are going to pop out at us tomorrow. today's lessons damn slack, didn't learn a SINGLE thing. all the teachers know that we're no longer in the mood, all told stories or just talked with us. bro. paul's talk in the morning was rather useful though. next week's lessons end at 1.10 everyday, and i'm not sure whether coincidently or purposely, i still have chinese 4 times a week!!! :( but 1.10 is earlier than SJI loh!!! means can go down for thursday trainings already. hopefully poh can get the chalet, if not going to crash elaine's house! MUAHAHAHAHAHA.... get to wear SJI uniform to school tomorrow, for the 1st time in a month... yes!!!

training today was short for me, but i'm sure an interesting one for the cadets. once i got there i went straight to the sec 3s, seeing them learn their rifle drills brought back some memories. anyway rifle drills are more interesting than baton drills. :p anywayz sec 3s quite good, impressive drills, although still a few mistakes here and there, but overall quite good. after that had a little pumping session with them, even though many would say it's not necessary that i do it with them, but since i'm there might as well lah, after all leadership by example...

still feel as though i'm drifting away, got lesser and lesser things to talk about... maybe it's just me, just being the boring and grumpy guy which i was when i was younger. all the best for your results tomorrow, don't stress lah hoh!

2003 JA, EAGLES award and 14 points.... HERE I COME!!! Cheers.

what a f-ed up day...

i'm hungry and tired, my feet are sore, i don't know what the fuck is going on during physics lecture, history repeated itself, and i was dao-ed for the whole day. blasting music now to try and forget it all. nothing more to say.

what a f-ed up day.

is it good that i'm not worried...?

O level results most probably released on thursday, or at least that's the word that is being spread from mouth to mouth. alot of people are scared, worried that they won't do well...but honestly i'm not scared of it. on the contrary i'm actually looking forward to it as i can finally get the JA (Josephian Annual) 2003 and my EAGLES award!! :) can't wait to get my hands on the JA, can look through my final year in SJI all over again. the JA doesn't seem as significant when you're still in SJI, but now that i'm out of it, i can't wait to get it. HURRY UP!!!! COME ON THURSDAY!!! WHERE ARE YOU!??!?!

to the people who are worrying, don't worry ok? there's nothing you can do about it. even if you feel that you could have put in more effort, and gotten marks that are way much better, just forget about it. life must go on, and this is just another hurdle that you've gotta jump across in order to move forward in life. i'm actually particularly aiming this at someone, don't know whether that person can figure it out or not. should be able to lah hoh... it's PRETTY obvious ;) don't fret people, the experience of going to school is more important than the results that you get in the end of it all.

Live life to the max, don't waste it worrying about small obstacles. Cheers.

SJI NPCC 2003...Numero Uno!!!

The graduating class of SJI 409 2003, inter-class sports champions of 2003!!! Never forget you guys...

65th Batch Cadet Inspectors Basic Training Course December 2003 Echo Squad, you guys made 2.5 weeks of hell enjoyable, thank you!

The all powerful and most interesting class of 1T20!!!

preliminary reports from the field...

did not go to PA today because had a runny nose. feel really bad because the NPDP training is usually short of manpower. really sorry guys but my running nose meant that i could shout no commands properly. will be going next week as per normal.

just got reports from pei wei about how we did for campcraft competition. flagpole and the knots board were done up fine, which is EXCELLENT!!! flagpole was straight, and they didn't really check it that intently according to pei wei, which is always good ;) but then the tent.... haiz the tent. 1 peg not in, flaps not done and snapping twines. altogether we snapped 5 twines, and these were beyond repair i presume, as pei wei said that we had tried to salvage as many as possible. but it ain't so bad after all, as apparently twines were snapping all over the shop. almost every team had a problem of twines snapping!!! the most interesting story of the day is as follows: chinese high, last year's champion brought their trophy to the pitch. low and behold, after their tent was finished, ALL the twines snapped and the whole tent collapsed into a heap. so much for trying to boast that you won the last competition. :p in other slightly less entertaining news, the pitch adjacent to us which housed greenridge didn't do to well either. apparently their captain told our resident captain nelson that they would win us, but guess what... their tent collapsed as well, and their flag didn't go up! oh well, so much for trying to win SJI eh ;)

even though the tent did not go up as planned, congratulations to SJI NPCC campcraft team 2004. you guys have trained hard, and made large sacrifices for the team and the unit. thank you for all the effort you've put in, i'm proud of you guys. now catch up with your studies, and hopefully we make it into the finals. Cheers.

BRING ON THE COUNTERPAIN...

never had so much pain in my inner thigh before... from last thursday's side sprints, and my own home training on sunday and yesterday, my left thigh is hurting. and inner thigh means WAY up north. real near my family jewels. at least it's not groin sprain, that would be even worse. today at certain points of badminton training it really hurt, towards the end i was limping, and now it hurts when i swing my leg backwards. but looking on the good side, at least i know muscles are growing there ;) badminton training today started off as normal lah, stroking, lobbing, alternate smashes, pushing and netting. after that did some doubles drill, and played a doubles and 1 singles match. lost the doubles, but couldn't manage to complete the singles match. played singles with suhandi. he won the first set 15-14!!! ARGHHH!!!!!! was really pissed with myself at that point of time. but then i won the 2nd set 15-11 :) haha then we decided not to complete the 3rd set, as my thigh was hurting at that point of time, and he fell and scraped his knee yesterday during his PE lesson. right at the end did 100 pushups and 100 crunches. strangely enough my arms aren't hurting now, and i finished it all 2nd fastest!! behind only louis. sure my arms felt numb then, but now they feel rather light, and tired at the same time.

my school's odac people are absolutely crazy!! today for training, they ran to TOA PAYOH!! which is more than 7 km away. then there, the guys ran up and down the 30 storey HDB block 9 times, and the girls 7 times. back at school they still did 20 more grand stands...... WTBMFF!!!!!! i tell you... it's a miracle they can still walk. no wonder during last year's vertical marathon, CJC got 8 participants from the top 10. all ODAC people. but i must commend them, for coming up with such strenous training routines, and members still turning up for training.

everyone is talking about the release of O level results. there are some rumours floating around, some say late next week, some say THIS FRIDAY!!! well for me doesn't really matter if it comes out later or earlier, cause whatever the case is, i'm most probably staying in CJ. i'll only REALLY worry if i get more than 20 points, but i don't think that is possible, unless something bad really happens, which shouldn't!!! haiz but then 1T20 will start splitting up after release of results. i'm sure some will withdraw from CJ immediately, and some may just not come to school anymore even though they're attendance is still taken. look forward to the class chalet that should be held during march holidays...won't miss it for the world! and even if we can't get a chalet, there's always elaine's big house :)

physics is getting tougher now... beginning to actually feel completely lost during lectures, what with all the vertical velocity and horizontal velocity. time to whip out those notes and begin revising. econs and maths, still can understand lah. of course still get the occasional blurness when lectures are going on, but i'm still managing to eventually sort them out. thank goodness... chinese is really BUAY TAHAN AH!!!! lessons so boring, and it's so much cheemer... as for GP, hopefully can improve from my previous essay mark.

training again tomorrow, then meeting later at KAP...gonna be shacked out again. campcraft comp on sat, hopefully the team doesn't waste all their hard work and training. and even if they don't make it to top 10, just do better than 14th... i'll understand. Cheers.

love survey for valentine's day...

got this website from donovan's blog, who got it from prad's blog. quite nice timing too...

1. You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and
free.

2. In the process of courtship, the approach that would make you
feel irresistable is patience, never give up on you.

3. The impression you would like to give to your lover is loyal,
faithful, never change.

4. You don't like it when your partner is emotional and/or too
moody; and you don't know how to please him/her.

5. The kind of relationship you would like to build with your
partner is one that you care not only about the present but
also the future with your partner, a long-lasting relationship
that you can grow with.

6. You care about the society and morality, you won't do anything
wrong after marriage.

7. You are quite pessimistic, you don't think happy marriages exist
anymore nowadays.

8. At this moment, you don't want to be tied down by a steady
relationship, you just want to flirt around.

go try it out at --> http://www.naucon.net/misc/tests/love_test01.htm

why would you want to go???

yesterday in the canteen during recess found out that it seems only walter and i want to stay in CJ after the 1st 3 months. the other 24 people all want to plant their roots elsewhere. i find it quite sad actually... actually it's DAMN sad. i don't really see what's wrong with CJC, except that it has a bad reputation, but that reputation was pre-bro. paul. so it's not a very fair assumption to make. this is the first time since primary 4 when i've had a class where i don't find anyone irritating loh!!! 25 other people who i can study and play with happily for 2 years is a very enticing thought, but then if 24 of these 25 go, wtf loh!!! plus teachers will change, might not have lame mr leong anymore, or teletubby poh (don't tell him). but i don't mind not having mrs koh. crazy bitch so damn irritating!!! don't go lah you all....WORK WITH ME HERE!!!

but of course our class does have a slight problem... which is lagginess. :p everytime after bell rings to move to next venue for lessons, no one will move until someone switches off all the lights and fans. i think we're having too much fun lah, that's why end up like that. but if you want this class to study, i think it's quite possible loh. just that we'll have the no-need-to-study-till-results-come-out attitude right now. quite a sad case lah, sometimes feel like shouting, but then that won't be a very good idea now would it?

yesterday class "celebrated" valentine's day, or as JCs call it friendship day. :p girls bought presents for everyone, guys bought presents for girls. i got a cute little teddy bear, thanks clarrisa. oh and thanks to xiu fen too for the sweets. :) i don't think she know's i've got a blog though :p ahhh anyway... mr poh gave us merci, elaine's gonna fail her maths test (out of point), and at least 5 people asked me why i don't have a date for tonight, or something related to that matter lah.

this morning go PA again, another 5 hours of parade duty. today's one i must say is ALOT better and smoother than the previous weeks. we finally managed to iron out any glitches in attendance that we've been having. contingent 6 this week could shout alot better, and were more vocal. maybe because they were more familiar with me, and the whole idea of the parade. the parade sequence is alot different from when i did it 3 years ago 2001. thinking back on that i think it was damn cool, because i got to wear number 1 uniform and had only 1 STRIPE ON MY SHOULDER!!! and there were SSGTs and SGTs wearing number 3 in supporting con. :p that was fun... :p

finally got my posting letter today. after 2 whole months since the end of CI BTC!!! damn slow man... don't know what is going on there also. anyway as predicted got posted to SJI, and i gotta go pay OC a visit this week to sign a form saying that i've been to that school :p

been hearing quite a few nice songs on radio lately, such as linkin park's "from the inside", and another song from some thai singer, have a feeling the title is "sexy bitchy naughty" or something to that extent lah. i actually want to download these songs, but don't know what might happen if i tried :( can't wait to get my mp3 player after the release of O level results... predicting about 15 points, mainly because my humanity will definitely pull me down. oh well no use worrying about it, actually i'm quite curious to know what i got for my humanity :p

to all 1T20 people, please think through want you want to do after release of results. nothing i can do to force you'll to do anything, just a friendly plea. Cheers.

one week ago...

i last typed an entry into this blog of mine. time to UPDATE!!! let's see... saturday went down to PA to train the cadets for NPDP 2004 again. got contingent 6, which is area 11 & 12. They weren't very responsive. shouting only constant reminders. attendance taking was a bit messy again. but since we've FINALLY managed to come to a set agreement on who to take attendance and where, hoepfully next week will run more smoothly. sunday after church went to my niece's birthday party. brought my econs along in it's bright orange file to study. sat in the corner and mugged. only stood up to get drink and food. had lots of cuttlefish balls and wanton. good food!

tuesday went badminton training, followed louis and guo cheng. have come to the conclusion that i'm the worst player in the badminton team at this point of time. i don't think i'm fast enough, and my game strategy doesn't really work lah. kinda confirmed my assumption during today's training. i can do all the component trainings, but i can't put all my component trainings together when i'm playing a game. sure i can save a few smashes here and there, and smash a few times myself, but overall i'm not playing that well. i guess that's wat happens when u play against people who've had school team experience before.

not badminton trainings will be on wednesday and thursday. thursday is mainly for physical training. that plus double period PE in the morning... i might just die tomorrow. plus tomorrow evening i've got a meeting for sec 1 swearing-in. i'll probably stink, but what can i do about it? i don't have deodorant, just pray that my towel can wipe off most of the stink producing sweat. oh well... got GP (maths) homework to finish by friday, got summation notation to do by tomorrow, got GP (english) essay outline to finish by tomorrow, and then the essay by friday, then down to PA again on saturday. will be reducing the number of times i blog a week now. maybe i'll keep it at once week, so that i can sleep a bit earlier, or finish a bit more work. damn it i'm sweating at the computer even though there's a fan behind me!!! ARGH!!! enjoy the rest of your week people, i have a feeling i will (in an exhaustive kind of way). Cheers.

a whole new perspective of the game..

yesterday was my first OFFICIAL training with the CJ badminton team. last week we just played game after game. first we'll started off with footwork (basically running around the court with your racket and no shuttlecock). started off with front back, then 4 pts, then 6 pts. tt alone nearly killed my legs liao. after tt practised high ball. 10 minutes of whacking the shuttle overhead high up and over. tiring stuff too. we also did smashing, netting, pushing, cross court smashing, and net+smash. if u really want to know the difference come ask me.

after that coach gave us all personal drilling. he held 15 shuttles in his hand, and just served. one far for smash, and one near for net. i tell you i've never heard myself breathing so hard while playing badminton before!!! had to do 3 sets of that. again i felt numb by the end of it. after that drilling, played 2 doubles and 1 singles match. lost 1 double and the single, but won the other double. RIGHT at the end, coach was kind enough to give us PT. 100 pushups and 100 situps. i tell you with all our sweat combined together we could have formed the CJC reservoir right there in the hall!!! :p after training went to toilet to change, and when i squeezed my shirt dry, it was as if i had just taken a shower. water was just flowing non-stop from my shirt. and the holes in my socks got bigger too from all that lunging :p quite funny to look at actually.

well i'm looking forward to the next training. decided to go for the girls training on tuesday as well since guys are welcome. plus i need to improve my game by ALOT! hopefully i don't die from all the training, and if i don't i'll be stronger. Cheers.

The invitation...

last night at approximately 10.46pm, just after i finished my shower, my handphone started to ring. when i answered it it turned out to be nelson, one of the CIIs from my D'03 CI course. turns out he and cynthia, also a CII from my course, are planning the J'04 CI course. and he said that they were inviting me to be a CII for that course. at the end of my course, some of my squadmates brought up the question of whether we would be interested to be CIIs if we were given the opportunity to. At that point of time i eagerly said yes, as it would be another interesting experience for me.

however now that i've been invited for the june course, i don't really feel like going. 1st of all, commitment all the way from february is needed. this commitment, plus my NPDP, plus badminton training, plus chinese tuition, plus CC comp training, i fear will be too much for me to handle, as i've hardly gotten a grip with my studies yet. also for the whole month of may i'll be required to go back to HQ almost everyday for intensive course preparation. after that 2 weeks of june until the 17th will be taken up by the course itself. If i were to go for the CI course, i'd miss ALOT, including the UTC in june, most probably the campcraft training course in march, and a hell lot of time.

another reason i don't really wanna go for the june course is because in the june course, most, if not all, the people attending will be either the same age as me or older than me. but if i were to go to the december course, about 80% of the people will be younger than me, and i'd be more prepared as i would have had more experience teaching people i have never met before in my life. not that i'm not prepared to take on this task, just that i would feel better if i had more time to get used to this CI thing.

so overall, i don't think i'll be going for this june course, gonna have to call nelson and say sorry... but now i'm wondering whether they'll offer me a place in the december course. but then again, would i REALLY want to go for the december course? Cheers.
