it's ending soooooooon...
it's december 27!!! omg... 2005 is ending in 4 days! YIKES! 2005... such an interesting year... so much SHIT happened in it. so much that it's unbelievable! hahaha BUT i think i've talked about all the shit in my previous entries, so i shan't bore all of you with them again hahaha
christmas eve had dinner with my dad's immediate side. all the kids came over, i.e. 2 nephews and 4 nieces. they all kept me occupied after a while. ethan wanted to play sonic, while the others just ran around, minus declan of course because he can barely walk much less run hahaha after that rushed for midnight service. fell asleep in the sermon AGAIN!!! but i guess i just didn't sleep enough the night before. i'm going to hell or something lah :(
oh yes... for the 1st time in dunno how many years, we didn't have to rush for 2 lunches on christmas day! it's both good and bad lah... goot coz can spend more time at one place, but bad because u get bored after staying at one place for too long hahaha anyway lunch at my dad's cousin's place was the same as every year lah. don't really talk much to my cousins on that side, coz they're REALLY distant, and all so much older than me hahaha
at night when to my mum's bro's place. there the cousins i can talk more too... am closer to them too, considering there are people who are in my age group! :p but i still don't always fit in with them lah, but it's getting better i guess :)
ahhh new year coming... still learning to drive, going to start work with a hell shitty pay, less time for me to do my own things, most wanted is a tiring game, but still extremely shiok hahaha final theory evaluation tomorrow... hopefully i can get through it

I LOVE THE SUN!!!
yes i'm back in singapore hahaha took my basic theory test today. we were given 50 minutes. 1 minute per mcq qn. i finished the whole thing in 10, and i PASSED! WOOHOO!!! poor ol' shufang took half an hour, but then again why would u be surprised hahaha so soon can start driving, once i apply for tt pdl. so mafan man... then after tt gotta figure out the booking system hahaha THEN gotta see whether my work which starts next year will suit my driving lesson timings, coz i don't wanna go in the evening coz the prices go up. u know... higher demand, constant supply, therefore price increases hahaha
christmas is coming! and i realise... the older i get... the less of the joyful and blissful christmas mood i feel. when i was younger, i was like "YAY CHRISTMAS CHRISTMAS!!!" now it's more like... "ok it's christmas..." quite sad right? now presents really don't seem as important anymore... and i guess i'm not REALLY feeling the real christmas spirit much more than when i was younger.
after coming back from japan, i've decided to lower my ambition from aerospace engineering to just mechanical engineering. reason being? after seeing what the trains in japan can do... I WANNA WORK WITH TRAINS!!! hahaha i mean working with planes would be cool, but then ur product is usually 10000+ feet in the air when it's doing what it's made to do best? but for trains, what you get is right here on earth! plus getting into mec engineering is easier than getting into aero engineering hahaha but the problem is... not much point working with trains in singapore only, because all singapore has is mrt and lrt trains. not much to do here lah. can't really expand and innovate with the trains here. so if i really do end up working with trains, it'll probably mean i'll be working overseas :( but see how it goes lah anyway. still gotta get through ns 1st hahaha

the home of sega (part 4)...
well today apparently today it snowed the heaviest in 10 years in parts of japan, but over here we got zero snow. i think i'm destined to not see snow ever in my lifetime or something lah hahaha last year it snowed the day after i left europe. this time it snowed in the same country, but just not the part that i am in! damn sian hahaha today weather not as cold and not as windy, so i felt much better than yesterday.
today went to one of the last remaining feudal castles remaining in japan. well one thing... DAMN BIG AND DAMN COOL!!! hahaha it's really a castle castle lah. got outer walls, inner walls, keeps and main towers. there were damn cool holes in the walls as well to shoot arrows out of at the enemy at that time. usually u'd expect only square holes right? but the holes are aesthetic as well! they come in circles, triangle and rectangles! hahaha the castle is really majectic man... everything i imagined a castle would have in order to fight a war in the olden days. will go back and do some research on the internet about that, should be quite interesting.
after that we came back to osaka, and bought CHOCOLATES!!! can go back and eat eat eat. then we went to this skytower... and we got a panoramic view of osaka. it's REALLY dense... and the train network looks even more impressive from up there!!! so cheem... but the cheemer it is the better planned it is. so cool! and the bullet train looks so much more impressive in real life than on the tv screen man. one "flew" past the train we were on today. i mean it flew by in an instant lah. want to sit one someday. see how smooth it really is.
ok tmr we're staying in osaka to avoid the snow tt's falling heavily everywhere else. so tmr is most probably just shopping day. ciao for now :) back to singapore soon! :)

the home of the bullet train (part 3)...
today was... COLD! lowest was supposed to be 0, but i never managed to find out what it actually was. in the morning saw snow on top of the train, but never actually got to see any snow falling from the sky. what a shame. 2nd time in a freezing cold place and i see zero snow. what's the point in that sia hahaha actually today wasn't really THAT cold. temperature wise it was colder than yesterday yes, but it was still tahan-able. but what really killed me was the damn WIND! wah wind blow until u really feel like there's this huge force pushing u backwards or forwards. the wind from behind not so bad, at least everything is covered up, but from the front can DIE! face so damn cold... haiz cannot explain. must experience to believe lah
anyway today we went to this small town called nara. see more temples and shrines. lost track of the names already lah, too cheem for me to remember :p anyway on the way in we saw deer... lots and lots of deer. and we also saw a deer crossing the road at a zebra crossing!!! get it? a DEER using a ZEBRA crosing!!! hur hur hur... ok nvm. then we saw some sumos getting ready to have matches. with all the rituals and stuff. but because we were rushing for time we didn't watch any matches. tt would've been an interesting thing to see man. anyway in one temple we saw this bronze buddha statue tt's the largest in the whole world. and it's HUGE!!! the whole thing dates back till the 700s. more than a millenium ago man. madness. then more temples and shrines, and more temples and shrines hahaha tomorrow we're going to see a castle. FINALLY! hahaha
anyway... another observation about japan. the public toilets are CLEAN! and by clean i mean much cleaner than singapore public toilets. even though people use them alot, it's still relatively dry lah. ok it's not as clean as cj toilets, but it's damn good for public toilets! people actually are more considerate over here lah. another thing is, all the public toilets i've been to have heated seats! even the one in the hotel has a heated seat hahaha u know when u sit down and the seat is freezing cold, and ur poor ass has to endure moments of discomfort, THAT THING RELIEVES ALL THAT!!! hahaha so u have clean public toilets and heated toilet seats. damn it man that's so good hahaha
ok lah gotta get more energy if i wanna walk around that huge castle tomorrow. apparently we can spend the whole day there. bloody hell i'm gg to freeze again. just pray it isn't as windy there as it was in nara today. i miss singapore and the heat hahaha

the home of pokemon (part 2)...
today was cold man... ok it wasn't really cold, it was more of windy that kinda made me feel not that fantastic hahaha anyway today we just walked around all day long, went to see more temples and some funny shrines. early afternoon wasn't that bad lah, but it got really windy after a while, and there's nothing that can cover my nose and mouth, so that kinda sucked. if it were warmer i would've been able to walk around for a long time, but coz it was just too cold, i couldn't walk anymore. i mean my right knee began to hurt lah... how bad is that man. and tomorrow's supposed to be colder hahaha how grand...
anyway something i've observed over the past 2 days. the jap people are a lot more connected as a society. i mean they bother to look out for each other and take the effort to bring more convenience to each other. take the trains for example. u know in singapore when the train arrives at the stop, there'll normally be an arc of people surrounding the door? u know what they do here? they line up in 2 STRAIGHT lines on either side of the door, and when the doors open the 2 rows move aside and let EVERY SINGLE PERSON out 1st before they move in in an ORDERLY FASHION! omg we have so much to learn in singapore man.
on the bus... they REALLY squeeze into the bus. today got squashed like a sardine. then when u wanna get off, they really push themself against the side so that u can have a smoother time getting off the bus man. and my sis dropped so many things on the way out of the bus and they all helped her pick them up. so damn cool man!
on the escalators, they actually keep to one side lah! in singapore there are signs all over saying keep left. and we don't really follow them. here there aren't any signs, but people all still stand on one side! something we don't really observe in singapore either lah
we singaporeans are proud people, but then so are the japanese. but i think that they have more reason to be proud of themselves. i mean sure their infrastructure might not be as fantastic as ours, but they more than make up for it in the way they act! no way in hell i'll ever see what i experienced today in singapore man. we're just too lazy hahaha and here, almost everything they use is made in japan! i haven't seen a single nokia phone, any ipods or creative mp3 players. very very few german cars. all i see are casio phones hahaha and all their phones are clamshell phones man. so odd...
tomorrow's temperature might reach 0 i heard, so wonderful hahaha and if it's windy, i'm gg to be in for a hell of a cold time.

the home of nippon paint (part ONE)...
i'm in japan now. using my dad's laptop in the hotel room. time here is one hour ahead of singapore, so i guess i'm still a bit energetic. not to mention i slept for so long just now cause there's only one shower, so i just slept while i waited hahaha
it's cold here, but still not the coldest i've experienced. i mean i can walk around without wearing gloves and the headwarmer thingy, so it's not that cold yet. apparently it's supposed to snow on sunday, so that'd be nice to see. and the good thing is the when it snows the temperature wouldn't be as cold! still got to figure out why.
ANYWAY! when we got to the hotel room today, there was this whole tray of CHOCOLATE! got both brown and white man... piled up a little bit hahaha so just eat eat eat :p will make ANYONE jealous man!!! ;)
anyway the buildings here are damn dense man. got like close to zero greenery? the only greenery i've seen are small cabbage farms built right next to houses hahaha otherwise it's really a concrete jungle. if the singapore government came here can imagine thousands of 40 storey HDB flats sia hahaha and of course no more farms and more trees and shrubs :p
oh well tomorrow more sight seeing and having difficulty more difficulty communicating with the people here. try and see whether can help clar get her lv wallet or not... so ex but she still wanna buy. madness!!! hahaha girls ah girls... haiz... :p

shufang: hope ur knee is better. i.e. not oozing as much pus as before and the swelling has gone down. oh and if got anymore questions about basic theory can ask here hahaha
cheryl: eh u said i'm your shifu loh!!! so i'm the champion's CHAMPION!!! MUAHAHAHAHA mad hamster... heard u damn wild at club also :p
derek: just consider yourself lucky lah. or maybe we're finally growing up hahaha u might still be safe in commando camp after all...
BANG!: shuddup lah hahaha just wanted to bang u :p

class chalet...
i'm back from class chalet. and as expected, i didn't manage to cover all the costs. go figure. anyway it was cool... i guess hahaha
1st day uhhh... shawn, marian and i went in early. and i mean EARLY. we sat by the counter for like 40 minutes waiting for the key. we actually thought we had to wait till 2.30 for the damn key. so we were sitting there, keeping ourselves entertained. then at 1.10 a lady managed to get her key! so i looked at shawn, and shawn looked at me, and we both stood up, AND WE MANAGED TO GET OUR KEY!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA
yah so anyway we went to the room and low and behold it was this puny little thing with a toilet about 1.5 times the size of your average lift. oh and it had fat lizards too hahaha and i mean FAT. must be all the leftover bbq food. anyway we set up many's ps 1st and started racing. soon after josh and derek came with the food. and with food i mean no drinks, no charcoal, no firestarters and no lighters. of course i didn't know that when they came. so play play play. PS all the way. bit by bit people arrived. xuan rui's blue hair became white, blue and green hahaha i'm sure he intended it to be all white, but dying your hair yourself means u can't see your whole head and therefore can't really get a very even new hair colour. suddenly my left wrist hurts. damn it what's wrong with it.
anyway bbq drew nearer, and we realised we didn't have the above mentioned items necessary for a bbq. so josh and derek went to parkway to get some stuff. can't remember what now, but it wasn't charcoal or a firestarter hahaha THEN shawn and i went galavanting for a while, and realised that THE DAMN CHALET DOESN'T COME WITH A BBQ PIT! ahhh life sucks now and then. so we walked all over the place and finally decided to book the pit along the beach right outside our room.
then later we realised that we didn't have charcoal and fire starters one at a time. so josh and derek cycled back to parkway on 2 separate occasions to get charcoal, and firestarters along with lighters. damn funny lah. and i thought they had planned the food part hahaha but anyway i'm sure it was good exercise :)
bbq... i set up the fire along with derek and xuan rui, then i stepped aside and didn't cook. reason being? i know i can't cook, and i know the girls are alot better at cooking than me, and the pit was damn crowded. so i just stuck to the preparation and cleaning up. too many chicken wings again as usual. i'm still waiting for the day when a bbq i attend has the exact amount of food for everyone, with no leftovers hahaha that'll be the day man.
early in the morning went cycling with chip and josh. went beyond bedok jetty, and far far down until we reached a road which was really too dark, so we decided to turn back. man my ass was damn sore. the stars at the jetty were really really clear. if the lights were off i tell u it would've been really beautiful man. but even with the lights glaring we could still see the stars really clearly. and i actually identified orion's belt! WAHAHAHAHA ok maybe cheap thrill lah, but i'm no astronomer u see :p
second day onwards quite routine lah. wake up late. eat junk food. zao sia like mad (some disease, every single guy zao sia-ed, kwee would've been proud), cycle, blade, shufang fell down (what's new).
ok fine a bit more elaboration. 2nd night most of the peeps went clubbing. a couple went home. so left me, marian and shufang. had leftover food for dinner. we just boiled it all hahaha so healthy. koon came a bit later, and he helped us devour the logcake that mr kwee bought for us. it was gone before we knew it. then he left soon after. hahaha poor boy busy wrapping presents at toys r us. louis came back suddenly, after sending clarrisa home, then we played wrestling for a while as the girls slept. soon i KO-ed, and the next thing i know it's saturday hahaha
saturday, shufang fell down. biggest event of the day. making her last turn and she left on her LEFT arm. reminder, she broke her left collar bone a couple of months back. think she screwed it up again, and her knee has a huge swell and it's oozing liquid. yeah basically that's how it looks. tried to clean it for her, but she kept squirming so we had to hold her arms and legs down. yes we know it hurts shufang, but we HAD to clean it u know... the road ain't exactly the cleanest place on earth. so she squirmed and marian and i cleaned. lucky we both brought 1st aid stuff hahaha she had a fun time removing the gause the next morning.
OH YES! tried playing vball with josh for a while. my goodness i need help. hahaha i'm losing it! i mean the ball still goes up, but not exactly where i want it too. but yah my legs felt a bit stiff.
this morning was interesting. got up late, and scurried out of the room hahaha actually most of the scurrying was done inside the room hahaha. pack bag so fast. pack up ps, clean up the toilet, floor, chairs and beds. stuff EVERYWHERE. actually had to return bikes by 11, not sure if we had to pay anymore coz we were like 40 minues late.
so that was chalet. it was GREAT. all the guys zai sia-ed. shufang fell down. i slept the longest. we DIDN'T wassup derek. omg the world is coming to an end hahaha
cheers 2t19 2005... and i'll be seeing you around, wherever we may end up working/studying/slacking. i'll miss you guys.

like shufang said...
my blogs getting dry hahaha
ANYWAY! past few days been going out everyday! except weekends lah :p need to stay at home again... go out again when i start earning my own money.
prom yesterday. it was not bad actually. quite good food. entertaining emcee. screaming girls (as usual). and a guys night at my house! hahaha miss those days man. had 5 josephians and 1 cat high guy at my house (poor xr :p) anyway watched chicken run and kung fu hustle. played alot of computer, and slept on the floor hahaha 1st time staying up till 7am for me. but then i slept from 7.30 to 8.30, then 9 to 11 hahaha sleep is still necessary lah. took tons of photos at prom, but gotta get them from people, as i didn't bring my camera along hahaha sianz... but that's the price one pays for being lazy to carry an extra device around :p lots of people's cameras went dead by the end of the dinner :p
anyway shopping for prom has taken it's toll. yesterday when we went to suntec to visit koon, we saw G2000 and we all squirmed hahaha "i'm never going to go shopping there again" hahaha but now really no one really has the mood to shop anymore. and they still gotta do christmas shopping :p madness
went to bukit batok driving centre today to register to learn how to DRIVE! and the place was bloody flooded lah! so damn many people! got a shock hahaha so going to go early tomorrow, and hopefully be able to make better sense of where i have to go. anyway i gotta go back again tomorrow because i forgot to bring a passport sized photo hahaha but yah luckily it's not that far from my house. only 5 mrt stops and a short walk. so it's no problem i guess, unless it rains. then there's ALWAYS a problem hahaha
tomorrow i'm taking part in a badminton competition organised by koon's church. crazy that i'm taking part in a badminton competition since i haven't really played badminton for what... 6 months? hahaha hopefully playing vball helps me keep in touch with my aiming, sure the shuttlecock is smaller than the volleyball, but the idea is there, and my smashing muscle has been trained hahaha
to the working world! RAWWRRRR!!!
